Dr. Rodney Dunetz founder of the Dunetz Wellness Center and Acupuncture Boca Raton talks about Proactive Healthcare versus Reactive Healthcare. Americans spend an estimated $3 trillion on healthcare each year, which is nearly twice the amount of the developed world. Whether it’s going to the doctor for a routine “checkup,” getting a prescription for your back pain, or having a surgical procedure performed, healthcare is downright expensive. But these costs could be significantly reduced if Americans start focusing on proactive healthcare vs reactive healthcare. Dr Rodney Dunetz, DAOM, AP is a Functional Medicine Doctor with a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine, and an Acupuncture Physician in Boca Raton, Florida. Health care managers are responsible for maintaining high quality care for patients. Without ongoing monitoring, assessment and feedback to employees the quality of their performance will become more variable and deteriorate over time. A proactive quality assurance program is necessary to promote an ongoing high level of care. Managers will appreciate the concept of Continuous Quality Improvement as developed by quality improvement guru W. E. Deming that involves ongoing monitoring of outcomes, benchmarking against best practices, and continuous re-training. This course from Anthony Sarola, PT, GCS, will provide the health care manager with the basic tools to establish a proactive quality assurance program to measure outcomes, develop best practices, and improve quality over time.

They have to in order to pay for the doctors, nurses, supplies, and fancy equipment. And guess who has to foot some of those expenses? The sick, who are disperate to get better. Wouldn't it be better just to work hard at exercising and eating healthy to prevent all of that? Think about it, then do something about it. http://www.teambeachbody.com/get-fit/fitness-programs

Retirement Proactive Planning When it comes to retirement planning, to often people just think about the money that is needed for retirement. Another thing that needs to be planned is the place where the person will be living and the care that might be needed. Pastor Kerby Lauderdale had seen some folks of his congregation wait too long to begin the process of implementing plans for the latter stages of their lives. Kerby states, “Everything dies in life including people and institutions. We need to mark our calendars of the decade that we turn 70 – 80 years of age and have a plan in place for our care. It is during those years that people naturally experience life threatening health problems necessitating special care. If we do not have a plan, then someone else is going to have t...
While many of us hit the gym, eat well and make an effort on our physical health everyday (or at least give it good try!), very few of us take care of our mental health in the same way. This month we are focusing on the impact that mental health has in the office. Mental health is the leading cause of sickness absence in the UK today, costing UK businesses an estimated £26bn each year. Employers and employees need to become more proactive in making sure that their workplaces are free from discrimination, where wellbeing is a priority and not treated as a problem, making the individual feel worse. Andrea Youngman from Remploy will be presenting this unmissable webinar which will cover: How to create a culture of openness by talking about mental health issues in the workplace Promoting w...
